Haley Waters, MA

Haley earned a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Development from Georgia Southern University and a Master of Family Therapy from the Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia. She is also a recipient of the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Rural Family Therapy Scholarship, through which she received specialized training in working with children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Haley has clinical experience in both medical and private practice settings, providing therapy to children, adolescents, and families. She especially enjoys working with children and adolescents ages 3–17 and their families, as well as offering individual therapy for adults.

Her approach to therapy is collaborative and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens through safe, trusting relationships. When working with children, Haley primarily uses Child-Centered Play Therapy to support emotional expression and development. With adolescents, she often incorporates general play therapy techniques to foster engagement, expression, and connection. In her work with both adolescents and adults, Haley takes a person-centered approach, integrating elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy to meet each client’s unique needs.

Haley feels deeply honored and grateful to be invited into her clients’ worlds and to walk alongside them in their journey toward healing and growth.

Haley is currently practicing under the supervision of Kristian May, LMFT, CPCS.
